All Hanney residents please respond to the final public consultation on the reservoir by 13th Jan. The last chance to tell Thames Water what you think of their reservoir plans
GARD: New facts that have emerged: • Costs have trebled, from £2.2 to £7+ billion (since the Rapid Gate 3 submission). • Land area reserved for the reservoir: Thames Water now requires 38km2 of land to meet biodiversity/flood-mitigation needs.
It has come to the Parish Council’s attention that a leaflet has been recently circulated by Bloor homes proposing a new development of 150 houses East of the A338, East Hanney.
The Gulleys have been cleaned throughout East Hanney - this helps to reduce issues during flooding and ready for the increased rainfall in Autumn. If you discover a gulley that has not been cleaned or requires clearing, please contact us with details of location and a picture if possible.
LOCATION: East Hanney, Brookside ( outside Mill Cottage) REASON: To facilitate bore hole for ground condition and soil sample DURATION: On 10 November 2025 This will operate between 09:00 and 17:00 (Traffic Regulation Notices cover a maximum of 5 consecutive days.)
