Council Meeting – 12th March 2025
To Members of the East Hanney Parish Council:
YOU ARE HEREBY SUMMONED to attend a meeting of the Parish Council
on Wednesday 12th March 2025 at 7.30pm
to be held in the Olde Hanney Room, Hanney War Memorial Hall
for the purpose of conducting the following business:
Press and members of the public:
Members of the public wishing to address the Council during the formal meeting must make the Chairman aware of their intention before the meeting starts. Under the Public Bodies (Admissions to Meetings) Act 1960, the public may be excluded whenever publicity would be prejudicial to the public interest by reason of the confidential nature of the business to be transacted. Members of the public wishing to record the meeting are asked to notify the Chairman of their intentions so that appropriate arrangements can be made for the recording, in accordance with the Council’s Standing Orders and Recording of Meetings Policy.
- To receive apologies for absence
- To receive any Declarations of Interest from Councillors relating to items on the agenda.
3. To facilitate public participation with regard to items on the agenda. Anyone wishing to address the Council will be given three minutes to do. The public participation period shall not exceed 30 minutes.
- To receive updates from District Councillor.
- To receive updates from County Councillor.
- To confirm the accuracy of the minutes of the last meeting of the Council.

- Risk Assessment needs reviewing – (Clerk)
- Agree on a date for the annual parish meeting – (Clerk)
Finance
- Agree to transfer funds from Unity as appropriate – (Cllr McKechnie)
- Agree transfer of funds within Nationwide – (Cllr McKechnie)
Projects
- Agree the architect for the pavilion. – (Cllr McKechnie)
- Agree to send document by DK to Dave Cookson – (Cllr McKechnie)
Environment
- To agree to buy a 1Tonne bag of shingle, one of 10mm and one of 20mm. – (Cllr McKechnie)
- Discuss contacting Sovereign for a formal response on the issue of erosion of land behind Brookside – (Cllr Aram)
- Agree plan for the litter pick – (Cllr McKechnie)
- To agree a date to plant 400 trees – (Cllr Aram)
- To agree where the new SID will be installed at A338 – (Cllr Green)
